The castlepark
The idyllic setting of the Château amidst the fields
and woods of rural Southern Burgundy is greatly enhanced by its
own eight acres of informal parkland with sloping lawns and a
variety of rare trees, some of them a hundred or more years old.
The newly laid out walks are an invitation to explore and enjoy
the park. A rest on a bench in the shade of a tree or by
the pond in this tranquil setting, will let you escape everyday
life.
With the benefit of the mild climate in this region, plants
from warmer zones survive in the park, like the “Gingko”,
an ornamental tree of Asian origin rarely found in Europe.
In order to protect such rarities of nature, the park is
reserved
exclusively for guests of the Château. |
